Harish Chouhan is the Director of Coscend's operations in India. He is the founder and CEO of CoHan Consulting, a Telecom and IT consulting service provider. His over 25 years of work experience spans business, engineering and technology management. He has incubated and grown business in several Information Technology areas, with P&L responsibility, that include Embedded, Distributed computing, OO, Operating Systems & Networking, Mobile Computing, and Telecom. He has led the business development in the areas of telecom operator solutions, telecom infrastructure and equipment business and semiconductors.
In these roles, his business wins include:
- $8 million from a semiconductor giant (2002).
- Seed business of $200 million, five-year business engagement (2000).
- $6 million in application transformation (1997).
- $3.3 million in OO systems (1995).
- Rs. 30 million from Reliance Communications (1998).
- Rs. 140 million from Indian defense (1998).

He has provided strategy and technology consulting services to several large multinational organizations globally at the CXO level. Department of Defense in India and Turkey were his customers. He has worked for clients, such as Unisys, North West Airlines, Natwest Bank, Lufthansa, Hong Kong Transportation, Telstar, Toshiba, ASCOM, Konica, Verizon, Hutch, KKD, Inmarsat, Motorola, Caterpillar, JASDIC and TRW in US, EMEA and Asia.
His software engineering expertise spans classical and iterative and incremental approaches. He has led delivery organizations in several technology areas including eCommerce, EAI, OO Systems, Platform Migration / Re-Engineering, Operating System and Internet Technologies, Product Development, Software Maintenance and Support. His teams were ISO and SEI-CMM L5 compliance certified.
Harish has published several articles, technical publications in international journals and given invited talks in many fora. He is a member of CSI and a Executive Committee member, TiE and Acoustical Society of India. He has been an active member in IEEE ( Student Branch ), IETE, Committee for Action Plan on Medical Informatics in India, and Advanced Computing (ADCOM Management Group). He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Communication Engineering, from I.I.Sc., Bangalore.
